Brake testing

That brakes are an essential element of safety in any vehicle is a truism, but even so, not all homologated vehicles with a valid MOT that circulate on our roads can be said to have brakes in perfect condition. There are several circumstances under which a brake system can lose effectiveness:

  • Brake disc deformation due to high temperatures
  • Accelerated wear of brake pads
  • Presence of air in the brake hydraulic system
  • Cracks or pores in braking system hoses
  • Etc

Our comprehensive testing protocol for brake equipment is applicable to motorcycles, passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and incorporates our SART* Real-Time Data Acquisition and Reporting System.

Making the most of our facilities, equipment and environment, we create real and highly demanding test environments, combining surfaces and emergency maneuvers performed by expert professional pilots, to evaluate the performance of any braking system, applying the client’s own protocol or the one developed by Technitest.

We demand maximum accuracy in our tests to help develop safer cars, and this motivates us to keep improving every day.

All our services include our Real Time Data Acquisition and Reporting System SART: Monitoring and capture of telemetric performance data during driving on public roads or specific test track, and immediate systematic dump to be available for analysis.
