Brake testing

That brakes are an essential safety element for any vehicle is almost a truism, however, not all standardized vehicles with a valid roadworthiness certification circulating on the world’s roads can be said to have their brakes in perfect condition. There are several circumstances under which a brake system can lose effectiveness:

  • Brake disc deformation due to high temperatures
  • Accelerated wear of brake pads
  • Presence of air in the brake hydraulic system
  • Cracks or pores in braking system hoses
  • Etc

Our comprehensive testing protocol for brake equipment is applicable to motorcycles, passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and incorporates our RDARS* Real-Time Data Acquisition and Reporting System.

Making the most of our facilities, equipment, surroundings and climate, we create real and high demanding test environments, combining surfaces and emergency maneuvers performed by expert professional pilots, to evaluate the performance of any braking system, applying the client’s own protocol or one developed by Technitest Automotive.

We strive for maximum accuracy in our tests to help develop safer vehicles, and this motivates us to keep improving every day.

All our services feature our Real-Time Data Acquisition and Reporting System (RDARS): Monitoring and capture of telemetric performance data while driving on public roads or on test tracks, and systematic data upload to be available for immediate analysis.
